At Juanita C. Perkins FNP-BC Healthcare, we address mental health issues in both children and adults. Services provided include outpatient therapy, group wellness, and parenting classes. Medication management of psychiatric illnesses is provided, but it is not the focus of treatment. Instead, we focus on how social and family systems impact an individual, and attempt to build/rebuild effective coping mechanisms.

Primary care with a focus to disease prevention is provided by Juanita C Perkins FNP-BC. Ms. Perkins is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years combined experience in healthcare. Patients are encouraged to change their nutrition and activity level in order to change the course of co-morbid conditions, including High Cholesterol, Diabetes, and Hypertension. Spirit
While some see spirituality or spiritual beliefs as a discussion to avoid, Juanita C Perkins Healthcare includes spirituality as part of its treatment model. We realize how important spirituality is in helping those with mental/physical illness cope. Multiple studies have shown spiritual beliefs and the connection to a Higher Power have positive effects on both physical and emotional health. Spirituality also helps people’s mental health by decreasing self-centeredness and encouraging a sense of belonging to a larger community.
